Reject the PennEast Pipeline!

PennEast Pipeline Company has applied to build a 118-mile pipeline through Pennsylvania and New Jersey. If it gets approved, the PennEast Pipeline will threaten our drinking water and protected open spaces.

The PennEast Pipeline is dangerous. It would cut through one of the most environmentally sensitive regions in the Delaware River watershed, damaging thousands of acres of preserved open space and some of the cleanest streams in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Parks and farmland that communities fought to have protected from other development would be torn up during the building process.

The vast majority of landowners in the path of the pipeline oppose it. Many municipalities in Pennsylvania, and every New Jersey municipality along the route has officially opposed the project.

If the pipeline is approved, it would mean that PennEast, a private company, could use eminent domain to take property for their project. Landowners along the pipeline route could face losing their homes, farms, and lands, some of which have been in their families for decades.

PennEast’s application is before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Tell FERC that we deserve a healthy environment, beautiful open spaces, and energy that doesn’t put us at risk. Tell FERC to reject the PennEast Pipeline.

Add your name to our message to FERC:

“We call on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to reject the proposed PennEast Pipeline. This pipeline is environmentally destructive, unnecessary and unwanted. The pipeline would cut through preserved open spaces and sensitive waterways, result in an enormous surplus of gas that we don’t need, and is opposed by landowners and municipalities along its route. We urge you to reject this proposal.”
